I have always been interested by the English language, and now I have finally decided that once I finish my degree at University I want to teach English overseas (to begin with) as an English language teacher to children who's first language is not English.
Certain topics of interest I will be covering are:
1.New media in English language teaching. Is it the teachers job to teach the children how to use the new media as well as the subject of English?
2. Issues for new teachers arriving in a foreign country to teach English as a second language. Living conditions, money, school, cultural issues?
3. Differences in teaching techniques in countries like Japan and China in comparison to New Zealand.
I am sure i will come across many more issues to discuss as the topic of teaching English overseas is a very broad one.
